Well we're a few years from getting those big time players
by #GBR 2/1/2017 9:12:22 PM
What's up with Lenoir?
by Benchwarmer2/1/2017 9:12:37 PM
The day Calibraska died and they were singing bye bye missed wide receiver guy threw the ball to the levy but the levy was dry
by Red realist 2/1/2017 9:13:52 PM
We gotta show out better on the field of play to get those big time players
by #GBR 2/1/2017 9:14:07 PM
@Mongo. The only ones who want Frost now are people who think that Husker ties are everything. Mike Riley is the exact type of hire that needed to be made because he knows how to build. He came in with his guys to ease the transition and when his guys couldn't get it done at this level he moved on looking for recruiting talent and coaching ability....and Husker ties help when recruiting but are not everything. If Frost is a future hire he will have to have more than a Husker degree to prove it...in the mean time Riley and the whole staff is busting it to improve the team fast.

USC has a QB who can pass and is coming back. As ESPN said, NE is a couple of years away from getting this type of receiver. Fairly easy, we have not had a QB who could get a receiver like Lewis the ball often enough! What was TA's completion %, 50% at best, good athlete not a QB that we need. Langs will have a QB this year that has a much better chance at running their offense, TA couldn't.

I am thinking Nebraska might just be out of bullets at this point. Kinda disheartening...but hopeful of who did raise their hand for Nebraska
by Matt2/1/2017 9:14:46 PM
Knew that was coming
by #GBR 2/1/2017 9:15:49 PM
We better get Blades...
by StarCityRyan2/1/2017 9:16:36 PM
I heard Lewis didn't commit because the huskers are looking to sign Fargohusker and that scared him away.
by Mongo2/1/2017 9:16:43 PM
Lewis did say it was hard to turn NEB down. And you really can't blame a player of that caliber to want to go play with such a talented young QB
by Tone2/1/2017 9:16:55 PM
BLADES IS ALL N!!!!
by S-Dub2/1/2017 9:17:23 PM
And of course, the ocean at your backdoor instead of cornfields had something to do with it.
by Matt2/1/2017 9:17:54 PM
Yeah Check my stats any one would be lucky to land me... I humbly suggest
by FargoHusker2/1/2017 9:18:01 PM
A very disappointing end to the day and likely leaves us ranked in the 20s on average across all recruiting services. We actually had some classed in the top 15 under Pelini so I was hoping this staff would be able to get it done this year. Now this is taking nothing away from the guys we landed as I think there is definitely good talent, but it looks like our lack of competing for conference championships is still hurting us in the recruiting arena, while USC's success on the field may have helped them.

How many stars does Fargo have?
by Matt2/1/2017 9:18:35 PM
Well depends on who you ask but if you ask me I have 5 and half.. based on self eval
by FargoHusker2/1/2017 9:21:15 PM
What did the top15 class do for Pellini, forget No Pellini is better than Bo Pellini! Let's not forget in all this drama, that NE was in the last choices for many of the top 5 star players and we will get one if we perform on the field. Lewis and Johnson should not be a surprise to anyone. The players that enrolled early and the ones we signed today are great players and lets support them in this the next big step in their student-athlete careers! GBR!
by CD2/1/2017 9:21:18 PM
Sip, I agree, quite an impressive day for NE!
by CD2/1/2017 9:22:24 PM
What happened with Lenoir??
by Tone2/1/2017 9:22:56 PM
Would've been a better day if Fargo committed
by Matt2/1/2017 9:23:10 PM
I must have missed Fargo, who is that??
by CD2/1/2017 9:24:38 PM
Nice get with Blades.....very good day and class for Huskers!
by UWYOHusker2/1/2017 9:24:39 PM
I heard they asked Fargo if he could pass the ball.... he said sure, if he could swallow it... he was sure he could pass it
by Mongo2/1/2017 9:25:18 PM
Team rankings are nice, but I think you have a lot of talented and under rated players in this class of 2017. I think the staff did an outstanding job this year given the record we had the last two years. Nothing but blue sky ahead of us.
by Buster2/1/2017 9:26:26 PM
Spot on Buster! How many stars and how heavily recruited was Ameer? It's all about how hard they want to work because in college everybody is big, fast, good and more importantly, wants your job, so you better step up!
by CD2/1/2017 9:28:14 PM
bet a lot Of T'O's classes were not top 10 or 15..no rankings then..just saying just wait in a couple yrs to see how good they are
by Brucerob622/1/2017 9:28:22 PM
Hey. Whose pushing the alt facts that pelini had a couple of top 15 classes... he had a couple of years in the high teens. But only one service out of three ranked him 11th.
Pelini wasnt terrible recruiting... What was weird was how many players left before finishing. You expect a few but over half the classes would be gone.
by Mongo2/1/2017 9:30:36 PM
You can say stars and ratings don't matter but who is always in the national title picture and have top 5 classes...Alabama and Ohio State. They must matter a little bit...just saying
by Matt2/1/2017 9:32:52 PM
Looks like 20 is the number....2017 will be the first season of a true passing QB and a real chance to show what is happening with the NU offense and not just what they plan on happening....if things go right 5 star WRs and RBs will not have to just have faith in the coaches but will see what is actually happening. That's another reason why I believe our QBs will stick around more with at least 2 solid ones on the roster every year...guys will want to run this system....
It would be nice to have a late surprise but this class looks done....and I'm excited about 2017! GBR
by UWYOHusker2/1/2017 9:33:33 PM
Check the rankings of the last 16 champions. Only Auburn won without a top 10 class. And that was the year they had Cam. And TOs best class was the one with Frazier a
