Why are people all of a sudden expecting anything different from Riley? He's not going to change. The people who hired him knew this. The fan base knew this. He is who he is. He was never a top flight, top tier head coach. He's doing his best with what he's got. They were never going to win this game tonight. Win some and you lose some. Riley will not change his style or approach.

If someone were to tell me the Huskers would finish with 10 wins while suffering a few bad losses on the road to top ten teams, I'd be very happy. Huge improvement over last season. Can't dwell on all the negatives. Just an bad effort tonight but next week is a win.

Frank, you are killing me. Stop. My sides hurt. This staff doesn't get to be compared to last year, they have to be judged against the last staff, who Eichorst spent $9,000,000 to replace because they didn't win the games that matter and would get embarrassed in games just like tonight.

Sad isnt it JimNE? Losing isnt the worst of things. Not being competitive is. I dont see improvement on the offensive side of the ball at all. The defense made some strides but still has poor tackling and discipline problems. All coaching.
