Ouch. Hope Tommie is okay. I don't want to prove the Tommie haters, those who say it's Tommie and not this staff, wrong tonight, in this game, already down 24-3.

by JB11/6/2016 1:40:57 AM
Tommy was talking, giving thumbs up on his way out.

Best wishes to him and his family. GBR

They put him right in the ambulance, but one would think it's mostly precautionary at this point.
by Clint Robus11/6/2016 1:44:10 AM
No doubt, Tommy is at the least certainly concussed.

Tough spot for Ryker. Not just because of the score and opponent. Watching your teammate get carted off then you're in. Can't imagine
by JB11/6/2016 1:44:24 AM
But I'm no doctor.
by Clint Robus11/6/2016 1:44:29 AM
Punch it in here somehow someway. Need points.

Oh man I would have liked to seen that play!
by Steve in Arlington 11/6/2016 1:46:54 AM
4th and inches with the backup QB and we line up in shotgun?? Oh, wait, I forgot, when Langsdorf panics he calls fades. Never mind, corrected myself.
by JimNE11/6/2016 1:47:42 AM
What play would that be Steve?
by Ben A.11/6/2016 1:47:43 AM
Ben, the fourth down play from shotgun. The qb sneak was too risky and I don't think they would have run the zone. Maybe a PA slant?
by Steve in Arlington 11/6/2016 1:50:37 AM
Thank you husker extra

Here's the full statement on Tommy again:
"According to Nebraska medical personnel, quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was briefly knocked unconscious. He was moving all extremities and talking while on the field. He is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation."
