@Terry: Great point. The officials face quite a challenge with enforcement because of the subjective nature of the calls, which must be made in a flash.
@Terry: I thought the LSU clothesline was a pathetic cheap shot. That seems like the sort of act that deserves a one-game suspension. Am I wrong? (I didn't see the groin stomp, but "groin stomp" maybe tells me all I need to know).
@JimNE: I don't think I'd go that far at this point. That said, Riley's reaction was striking.
@Zadi: Wisconsin's front seven on defense is for real, without a doubt. And the running game should be for real. Make no mistake, LSU overflows with talent, but the Mad Hatter has serious issues at QB. Again.
@NewportRed: I'm not ducking the issue, but it's very difficult to properly assess the situation without hearing Miles' side. I hesitate to assess the matter based on assumptions. It appears Miles was unconcerned about the bad PR his move would create. That is an interesting angle.
@Terry: Nebraska has a full-fledged recruiting staff (Ryan Gunderson, Billy Devaney, Andy Vaughn, Kenny Wilhite, Todd McShane, et al) that relieves pressure on the full-time assistants.
@JimNE: I think the special teams were only so-so, especially the punt team and punt-return team. Very disappointing. I think the coverage of kicks was good.
@rickylee41: OK, ricky, fire away ...
@Terry: Yes, I think a lot of people were surprised. Sometimes I think the media is the blame for creating a false impression of certain players. The Davis twins have received a ton of media attention since their recruitment. I always find it a bit bizarre how much is written on certain Husker players before they ever make their first tackle!
@rickylee41: Yes, Nebraska-Iowa will be played again this year, barring some unforeseen occurrence.
@Terry: I think you have to be careful to oversimplify. Sometimes recruits see struggle and think, "They need me. They need me now."
@rickylee41: You seem to have good taste in writers.
@Mitch: I think the Hampton situation is one to watch. But I think ultimately he'll stay committed to Nebraska. Avery Roberts seems like a great fit for NU.
@Terry: You shouldn't be intimidated by Alabama girls :)
@AzHusker: This is the first I've heard of a (possible) addition to zebra crews. I would need to check on this.
