@Chris: I have no clue what the punishment will be but my feeling walking out of practice the other day was that he would remain on staff. Maybe it's a complete misread on my part. Maybe Mike Riley had no idea what was going to happen when he was talking to us, but that was just the vibe I got. And while a big mistake is a big mistake, from a company's standpoint, it's probably significant the charge ended up in the misdemeanor category. think Keith Williams is a good man who has made a few big mistakes, and consequences come with those. Whatever is decided, there is sure to be some criticism of it. The rest of it, I'm going to leave my opinion out of right now because it's still a news story in progress and I want to report it evenly, which we will. -
@Seth: Honestly, the linebackers have grabbed my attention more than anybody so far this camp. Banderas has looked good, Newby has looked good, Dedrick Young has looked real good. He was all over the place during his limited work in Saturday's scrimmage. Banderas had the stick of the day, dropping a back for a 5-yard loss. They're playing instinctively and not second-guessing themselves out there much. It should be that way after the experience they gained last year. Group that could surprise? O-line. They're interesting to me, because based off experience, they start this season not too far off the floor,yet have what I think is a very high ceiling. I think people should expect some growing pains here and there, but if Knevel can carry a strong camp into the season at RT, that is a group that *should* be able to get things done.

@scott: Right now: Dzuris-Stoltenberg-Maurice-Akinmoladun. Then: Natter-Davis-Davis-King, I'd say. Although Logan Rath might be in there too. Others who need to help are Newell and maybe Alex Davis and Neal in specialty situations. But both Alex and DaiShon were with the third group on Saturday.

@Red: He is a very good coach. That is definitely true. I've enjoyed watching him work between the lines. And I never get want to get behind a pulpit on issues like these. The thing is, after No. 3, there are going to be some consequences. There have to be. I don't know what the right ones are. I wouldn't say them even if I had some ideas since I'm in the middle of covering it. I also know this subject matter is sensitive to a lot of people, so I respect that there are going to be many different opinions on what Nebraska decides to do.

@JimNE: No game was steered clear of intentionally. Illinois last year definitely could have been on there. I don't recall off hand what games made the list. As much as Husker fans enjoyed beating Iowa in 2014, it felt like the whole thing was sort of overshadowed by, "What's going to happen tomorrow?" Same goes for Nebraska's 2013 loss to Iowa. Two games where people were thinking ahead to the weekend as they watched them.

How is the WR corps shaking out? A lot of talented guys for a few spots.
Obviously Westercamp will be hard to take off the field. Reilly and Moore are in the same boat. Stanley Morgan might be the most talented. DPE will have his packages when he is 100% (seen anything suggesting otherwise?)... where does it go from there? Could a true freshman really be in the mix? -
